About Us

After many years guiding and coordinating for international organizations and companies, Chandra and Debbie began leading adventures independently in the Himalayas. From individuals to large groups, 2 year olds to 72 year olds, all women groups, honeymooners, avid backpackers to nature lovers, from all walks of life- we love sharing the beauty of the people and land of the Himalayas with everyone. We provide a completely unique experience starting long before you arrive in Nepal and aim to make every moment as memorable and special as possible. We use only the best staff- those we would trust to guide our own children and parents anywhere. While we believe the best way to change the world is through personal evolution, we also give back at least ten percent to truly sustainable projects that preserve local culture, people, and ecology. We very selectively use these resources to directly impact local communities in holistic ways. To learn more about past, present, and future projects please go to the Giving Back tab on our webpage or feel free to contact us directly with ideas and input.

We offer complete immersion experiences- off-the-beaten path, staying with local families, cooking locally harvested food over the fire, and traveling to sacred lands few are lucky enough to know. We also offer classic treks from Everest to Annapurna, although well-traveled they also make a beautiful journey while meeting travelers from all over the world. If you aren’t sure which trek to choose, contact us and we will make some suggestions. Our itineraries are just a guideline and there are hundreds of variations we can make for you.
We will custom design each journey for you based on your desires and abilities.

In addition to trekking, we also offer many adventures including rafting, climbing, mountain biking, jungle wildlife, caving, canyoning, bungy jumping, paragliding, mountain flights, internal retreats, yoga, meditation, raw foods retreats and treks, all women’s trips, family trips, school trips, healing and spiritual journeys, dance, music, and language education, courses in traditional home building, traditional, organic agriculture, and traditional herbs and medicine. We are open to new ideas, suggestions to improve, and anything else to evolve HiMaLuna Adventures. Just ask us! We will treat each of you as family.

Many of our past clients are happy to share with you directly their tips and insights about how to prepare, what to expect (although we recommend expecting nothing and everything), and answer questions. We are glad to put you in touch with them.
